The Manster (1962)

How bad is it? It has some very bad special effects.
Should you see it? Sure. It's actually rather atmospheric.

A joint US/Japan production, this looks better than most horror films from Japan in the 1950's that got edited for American release. A reporter, given an injection by a mad doctor, starts growing an eye, then a head, on his shoulder. Eventually, he splits into a man and an ape man and the man throws the ape man into a volcano (which is more conveniently located than most). The monster is laughable, but the film has a creepy feel.
