Monster A-Go Go (1965)

How bad is it? It only showed in North Carolina drive-ins, as a second feature.
Should you see it? No, though you could do worse.

H.G. Lewis bought an unfinished science fiction film, much better in production values than his own work, and added narration and some new footage. It went unseen for decades and even the director didn't have a copy of it, but said it wasn't very good... which caused a lot of speculation about a lost junk masterpiece. An astronaut returns to Earth a giant with bad skin, played by Harry Hite, billed as the tallest man in the world (he wasn't, but he was quite tall). The film has the worst pay-off I've ever seen - at the end, the monster just goes away.
