How bad is it? It's one of the least interesting of H.G. Lewis' films, though better made and short.
Should you see it? No, unless you want to learn how to pad a film.
The film starts with two mannequin heads talking about what's to come in the film and I thought that it was going to lead to something truly horrible, perhaps a pan to a "real" severed head, so suspense built until the payoff - which was nothing. Then the titles roll. Apparently, the film was too short for release, so Lewis padded it relentlessly, including this 5 minute intro.
The film itself is about a woman who runs a wig shop and her son, who scalps women to create real hair wigs to sell. The scalping scenes are better done than most of the gore Lewis did, though there's some exposed brains, which would be really hard to do in real life.
