Rats: Night of Terror (1984)

How bad is it? It's not even the best movie about rats from 1984.
Should you see it? It's not required viewing, but has minor interest.

This film was originally titled just "Rats," but there was another film currently in release called "Rats" (now called "Deadly Eyes"), so there was a change to avoid confusion. The other one has dachshunds dressed as rats and Scatman Crothers, yet it's not bad enough or entertaining enough to make my list.

This is a post-nuclear fantasy dubbed from Italian. There's an underground society and a Mad Max-like biker anarchy on the surface, where a cache of food's been found, but is guarded by rats. About 50 rats. There's a girl who goes into hysterics too easily, a Christ-like figure (and some minor allegory stuff), a girl eaten in her sleeping bag and rats bursting from a mouth - they seem to like eating people from the inside out. There's enough action and mild thrills, and enough budget and story, to have garnered this a small cult following.
