Vampire Hookers (1979)

aka Cemetery Girls, aka Sensuous Vampires

How bad is it? It's among the worst John Carradine films (and there are a few to choose from).
Should you see it? Only if you must see every vampire film. Or Carradine film.

Ciriano Santiago directed this film in the Philippines, where John carradine plays an aging vampire who uses women to lure men to a cemetery for him. There's some in-jokes: Carradine's character is named Richmond Reed, his real first and middle names, and he quotes Shakespeare, as he did when he was discovered in Hollywood in 1920. The movie claims that Shakespeare was a vampire. There's a number of deadpan jokes that fail. Carradine's arthritis was pretty bad by this time (note his fingers in the photo above) and he looks feeble; that he continued to act for another decade is remarkable.
